Join us December 6th and 7th for West Virginia’s first-ever New Energy Conference focusing on opportunities for utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage technologies!

West Virginians have long harnessed the state’s plentiful natural resources to fuel American economic prosperity and this event will focus on strategies to continue that proud tradition throughout the 21st century. Technological advances in renewable energy have driven costs down, creating a major opportunity for West Virginia to become a true all-of-the-above energy exporting powerhouse.

At this day-long conference and reception, you’ll hear from and connect with West Virginia’s leaders and industry experts about the near-term opportunities for private investment and job creation in the Mountain State’s expanding renewable energy industries.

Conference Panels

Panel #1: West Virginia’s New Energy Landscape

Rapid advances in energy technology and market dynamics are shaping a new energy landscape full of opportunity for West Virginia. Experts in utility-scale energy development, construction, and generation will share their perspective on what’s changing energy markets and tackle common questions about cost, the power grid, and policy head-on.

Panel #2: New Energy’s Role in an “All-of-the-Above” Economy

Development of West Virginia’s new energy resources, including solar, wind and storage creates benefits across the economy. In addition to job creation and capital investment, clean energy sources with no fuel cost (such as solar and wind) can enter into stable long-term contracts with West Virginia businesses—helping the lock in lower electricity costs at a time of rising rates. This panel will focus on “making the match” between new energy resources and West Virginia businesses that want access to low cost, clean energy.

Panel #3: The Road Ahead, West Virginia as a New Energy Leader

West Virginia’s elected leaders have sent a clear signal that the state is open for business. This panel will examine both near-term and long-term opportunities to grow West Virginia’s position as a true “all-of-the-above” energy leader—maximizing in-state benefits–from a variety of perspectives.
